“RAVELLO ITALY”

This 16 x 12 watercolor is a studio painting done from photo I took during my trip to the Amalfi Coast of Italy.  It is a scene in the hills of Ravello.

FROSTY SIERRA MORNING

This is 14 x 30 studio oil painting.  This was my interpretation of how the Truckee River would look after a snow with frosty trees.  This would be a rare sight because conditions would have to be just right.  And, the frost would soon melt!  One of my favorite places in the U. S.

LAGUNA BEACH

11 X 14 Oil on linen panel.  I was inspired by the deserted beach and wanted to represent the weather and atmosphere I was seeing.

OFF SEASON

This is 11 x 14 oil on linen panel.  I was inspired by peaceful beach and seascape scene during the off season.

CANYON COUNTRY

This is oil on linen panel 12 x 16.  A compilation from Grand and Bryce Canyons in the winter season.

AMALFI HARBOR

Oil painting of memorable visit to Amalfi, Italy.  I stayed just around the corner.

ELK SCAPE

18 x 24 Pastel.  Honored:  National Award of Merit for this pastel.  Competition sponsored by the Alabama Pastel Society.     I use top quality pastels.  They are pure pigments with a little binder.  Did you know:  Pastel paintings, if properly protected, will outlast oil paintings?

THE PAST IS PRESENT

10 x 14 Watercolor.  Matted and framed 17 x 22.  Honored:  First Place for Watercolor, Prattauga Art Guild, Fall Show 2017.  Watercolor inspired by my trip to Apalachicola, FL where I attended (and painted) the Plein Air South event.  Lots to inspire an artist.

LITTLE LIGHT HOUSE

24 x 30 oil on canvas.  This is a studio painting done from a reference photo from my trip to Maine.  This was a light house in Winter Harbor.

WITH THE PARADE

This is a large 25.5 x 38.5 Watercolor.  Awarded $1000 “Peggy Brown Memorial Award”  for Watercolor at the Montgomery Art Guild Regions Bank Exhibition.  September 21, 2017.  Also,  Juried and was exhibited at the XXXVIII National Exhibition of the Georgia Watercolor Society in 2017.  And,  the 2016 Watercolor Society of Alabama National Exhibition.

WINTER GLORY

20 x 16  Pastel  (26 x 20 matted and framed)  Awarded First Place, Prattauga Art Guild, Fall Art Show 2017.  This is a pastel painting of female cardinal that was nesting in my backyard.  Also accepted and exhibited with the Alabama Pastel Society National Exhibition in Wetumpka, AL.   Previously exhibited at the Birmingham Library…

CARDINAL CHRISTMAS
